Residential Support Worker

 What you do:
You're the heart of the home, building daily relationships, creating structure, supporting with education, activities, and emotional needs. You’ll help young people with routines, boundaries, and above all, trust.


What’s required:

  • A kind, resilient, and calm personality
  • Patience and the ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • Flexibility (shifts, sleep-ins, weekend work)
  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (can often be gained while working)
  • Enhanced DBS check

You might be the first adult a young person feels safe with. That’s powerful.

 What you do:
Support staff on shift, guide routines, oversee care planning and behaviour management, and ensure daily records and routines are kept to standard.


What’s required:

  • Experience as a support worker or other transferable skills working with children
  • Solid understanding of trauma-informed practice
  • Leadership potential
  • Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare desirable, willing to work towards this if you are not already enrolled.


Why it matters:
You set the tone. You lead by example, calm under pressure, solution-focused, and deeply committed.

Deputy Manager (No Vacancies)

 What you do:
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. You'll mentor staff, manage rotas, handle inspections, and contribute to care plans and safeguarding processes.


What’s required:

  • Strong leadership & communication skills
  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare Leadership & Management (or working towards it)
  • Experience in residential settings

You hold the space where good care can happen, creating a stable, well-run environment for both staff and children.

Registered Manager (No Vacancies)

 What you do:
You are legally responsible for the home. You ensure it meets all regulatory requirements, lead inspections (Ofsted), build staff teams, and maintain high standards of care and safeguarding.


What’s required:

  • Working in a leadership or management position in a residential children's home for at least 2 years within the last 5 years 
  • Willing to work towards or already working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare 
  • Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare
  • Deep knowledge of children’s legislation, safeguarding, and trauma-informed care
  • Resilience, vision, and leadership under pressure
